Stateside performer Pat Finn, who featured in popular TV shows including Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died aged 60.
The comedic improv actor died at home in LA on Monday having undergone treatment for a cancer diagnosis beginning in 2022, as reported by media reports.
"Pat considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he didn't know yet," his family said in a message.
They continued that he had "lived his life fully - with zest and passion".
A Prolific TV Career
Finn's first television role was in the George Wendt Show in 1995, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a repeating character on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as the character Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in the late 90s, depicting a host famous for delegating unpleasant chores to his guests.
During the end of the 90s and start of the 2000s, he had guest spots on several hit series, such as:
- "King of Queens"
- Friends
- That '70s Show

His work in movies encompass It's Complicated and "Santa Paws 2".
A Life in Improv
Away from his acting parts, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was a faculty member.
He was involved with a six-person improv troupe known as Beer Shark Mice.
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students throughout the years and it's nearly impossible to find anyone who has anything negative to say about him," his family wrote.
Paying homage, fellow actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, helping you be funnier and better. A great dad, a great guy," he posted on social media.
Finn is remembered by his wife Donna, his children, and his family.
