Former Doctor Charged with Sexual Assault Charges Against 38 Individuals in His Care
Prosecutors have announced that a former doctor stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults against thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Details of the Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham has been charged with dozens of sexual offences – comprising acts against minors under the age of thirteen – between 2017 and 2021.
A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate police inquiry, meticulously examining the evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”

These allegations come after what investigators described as a “complex investigation” into reported sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and Russells Hall hospital.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Prosecutors outline the 45 sexual offences include:
- 15 counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- 1 count of attempted penetrative assault.
