The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-match World Series championship. Fans worldwide united with Angelenos in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has secured consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Local events featured a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing downtown streets, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen traveling proudly on a open-top bus through the crowds, raising the championship trophy proudly.
